COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 2, 2017—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Shiva Shakeri as its newest board member.

Shiva connects Columbus College of Art and Design students to physical and online resources. Further, Shiva demonstrates CCAD Packard Library’s services to a broad community outside the college. As CCAD’s Marketing and Outreach Librarian, she engages and interacts with audiences through effective strategic branding using print, electronic promotional materials and social media. Shiva developed and oversees the CCAD Materials Library, offering a plethora of unique and futuristic materials for students to explore and experiment.

Shiva holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in media studies with a minor in art therapy from Columbus College of Art and Design. In 2014, Shiva was selected to participate in Library Leadership Ohio, a program to develop the next generation of transformative library leaders and encourage collaboration. She is currently working on her Master of Business Administration degree at Capital University.

“Shiva’s original perspective within and outside of libraries is particularly valuable,” remarked Cbus Libraries Co-Founder Bryan Loar.

Cbus Libraries warmly welcomes Shiva and is excited to continue to build engaging, community-based projects.
