About

Cbus Libraries’ mission is to champion Central Ohio libraries, library enthusiasts and the love of reading.  We explore and promote libraries of all sizes and types within the region, including public, academic, government, corporate and private libraries. We support the love of reading through grassroots community involvement, including our Books for All and Libraries Everywhere programs. Cbus Libraries is charitable 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit registered in the state of Ohio.

Our Impact

  • Gifted 6,000+ books to the community
  • Raised nearly $2,000 in scholarship funds for future librarians from marginalized communities
  • Featured over 50 libraries and library professionals
  • Hosted and promoted hundreds of events with regionally and nationally recognized authors and illustrators
  • Built seven little free libraries that spotlight local luminaries like Jerrie Mock & John T. Ward while enhancing communities, partnering with local artists and creating unique spaces to promote the love of reading
  • Partnered with and have been recognized by dozens of national and regional organizations, including the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA), Ohio Arts Council, United Way of Central Ohio, King Arts Complex, Greater Columbus Arts Council and more.
