COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 7, 2018—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, started as a passion project in 2014. Today we’re excited to announce Cbus Libraries is an incorporated, tax-exempt nonprofit.

With 501(c)(3) tax exemption, Cbus Libraries will expand community projects like Libraries Everywhere, fundraise to support future librarians from underrepresented populations, promote libraries and staff through engaging features and unite visual, performing and literary arts through #CbusIsLit.

We are deeply grateful to all those who donated during our October campaign, and we appreciate sentiments expressed by past featured library leaders.

“Cbus Libraries is doing important work, and they are doing it well. Thank you for telling the story of our libraries, and what they mean to our patrons!” – Tiffany Lipstreu, Library Director, Otterbein University Courtright Memorial Library

“Cbus libraries helped promote my program as a new librarian in a new school district! I will be forever grateful! They also have been a great networking tool for my colleagues and I.” – Shannon Hemmelgarn, School Library Media Specialist, Upper Arlington Schools Windermere Elementary

Join us on our journey and let’s collaborate!
