COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 3, 2017—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Janet Ingraham Dwyer as its newest board member.

Janet Ingraham Dwyer is celebrating eight years as State Library of Ohio’s Youth Services Library Consultant. With a focus on children and teens, Janet supports librarians and staff in Ohio public and school libraries. She manages Ohio’s participation in the nationwide Collaborative Summer Library Program, and she collaborates with the Ohio Library Council on Ohio Ready to Read, a statewide resource network to facilitate early literacy activities in libraries.

Additionally, Janet coordinates Choose to Read Ohio, a statewide initiative that promotes Ohio authors and books. The initiative encourages people of all ages to read, explore, and enjoy books together. She is devoted to collaboration across libraries, schools, literacy organizations, social service agencies, and other groups and individuals to support Ohio’s youth and families.

Janet previously worked at Worthington Libraries, most recently as its first Outreach Services and Volunteer Coordinator.

“Janet’s leadership in library initiatives and strong connections throughout the state make her a great addition to the board,” noted Cbus Libraries Co-Founder Bryan Loar.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 2, 2017—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Shiva Shakeri as its newest board member.

Shiva connects Columbus College of Art and Design students to physical and online resources. Further, Shiva demonstrates CCAD Packard Library’s services to a broad community outside the college. As CCAD’s Marketing and Outreach Librarian, she engages and interacts with audiences through effective strategic branding using print, electronic promotional materials and social media. Shiva developed and oversees the CCAD Materials Library, offering a plethora of unique and futuristic materials for students to explore and experiment.

Shiva holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in media studies with a minor in art therapy from Columbus College of Art and Design. In 2014, Shiva was selected to participate in Library Leadership Ohio, a program to develop the next generation of transformative library leaders and encourage collaboration. She is currently working on her Master of Business Administration degree at Capital University.

“Shiva’s original perspective within and outside of libraries is particularly valuable,” remarked Cbus Libraries Co-Founder Bryan Loar.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, October 19, 2017—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Mandy Knapp as its newest board member.

Mandy works with public libraries to better understand and use the technology available to them. She believes in the power of libraries to change the lives of the people they serve. Currently, Mandy works for the Ohio Public Library Information Network as the Digital Resources Manager.

Mandy holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts in public policy and management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University.

“Mandy is incredibly smart and will be a great addition,” said Matthew Dyer, Cbus Libraries Board Member.
