COLUMBUS, Ohio, February 21, 2018—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Jeff Heydinger as its newest board member.

Jeff has risen in the retail and wholesale book industry for over 12 years. As Chain Online Sales and Facilities Manager for Half Price Books, Jeff has managed profitable sales events in several markets across the United States and provided logistics leadership. In the newly created role as Used Inventory Buyer, Jeff will influence purchases at a national level across more than 120 retail stores in 17 states.

In partnership with Cbus Libraries, Jeff and Half Price Books have been integral in several community events and projects, including the Mifflin Middle School Reading Nook, multiple years at the King Arts Complex Aminah Robinson Family Day, and the Eco Library at ComFest and 934 Fest, reaching an estimated 60,000 participants.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo. His community collaborations include Reach out and Read, Books For Kids to Keep, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Whitehall City Schools and South-Western City Schools.

“Jeff’s leadership to help promote the love of reading has been remarkable,” noted Cbus Libraries Co-Founder Bryan Loar.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, January 4, 2018—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Tina Yersavich as its newest board member.

Tina has over 16 years of experience working in and serving libraries. Her career in public libraries began in 2001 at the Karl Road Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Tina held several leadership positions in the Columbus Metropolitan Library system that culminated in Youth Services Team Lead. Today, Tina is Senior Implementation Manager at OCLC, a global library cooperative. At OCLC, Tina has worked on Geek the Library, a marketing initiative for public libraries within the United States, provided CRM marketing analysis and collaborated to bring new products to libraries.

Tina earned her Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University and her Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University. She has presented at the Academic Library Association of Ohio. Tina’s love for libraries started in childhood at the Elyria Public Library. She enjoys yoga, meditation, running, and spending time with her family and dogs.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 20, 2017—Cbus Libraries, a grassroots initiative to champion libraries and the love of reading, is excited to welcome Desi Thomas as its newest board member.

Desi has 18 years in the library service field with recognized strengths in readers’ advisory, organizational agility, project management and collaborative enterprises. Since August 2016, Desi has served as Teen Librarian within the Worthington Libraries. Previously, Desi rose with increasing responsibilities over 16 years in the Columbus Metropolitan Library, her last role being Youth Services Supervisor.

Desi earned her Master of Library and Information Science degree with a concentration in children and youth services and Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The Ohio State University. She is a recipient of the Janice Smuda Children’s Librarianship Award and serves on the Choose to Read Ohio Advisory Council.

“We are thrilled to have Desi join the Cbus Libraries Board — her knowledge and experience in public libraries will be a benefit to our organization,” remarked Cbus Libraries Co-Founder Andrea Dixon.
